CPR Certification
First Aid Training Available At American Red Cross Or
Online
American Red Cross first aid and CPR (CardioPulmonary
Resuscitation) Training and Certification are offered to
individuals to provide them with the knowledge and confidence
to properly respond to an emergency situation and save a
life.
Anyone can sign up for training and CPR certification at the
nearest local Red Cross or American Heart Association-approved
center, or from the many programs available online. A CPR
certificate is valid for 2 years, after which recertification
or renewal would have to be done.
In addition to CPR certification, recertification, and first
aid training, the American Red Cross can also add information
on injury prevention and blood borne pathogens to the training
program. The organization also tailors their learning program
according to the needs of specific groups or
individuals-whether these individuals work with children and
need to be trained on Baby CPR and Child CPR, employees who are
being asked to undergo basic CPR Certification and training by
their company, or are professional rescuers who require
recertification.
If there are no training centers near your home or if you
cannot leave your home due to pressing needs, you can now just
obtain CPR Certification, recertification, and first aid
information online. A number of programs that follow the
guidelines set by the American Heart Associations are now
available online, and offer CPR and first aid lessons by way of
self-paced study, exercise, and examination. These can be
finished in a matter of a few minutes or a few days, depending
on how much time a person has available to study and understand
the lessons. Examinations determine whether an individual can
already get CPR certification. After passing the final
examination at the required score, a genuine CPR certificate
can be printed straight from the website. The online programs
vary in terms of how their programs are set-some provide free
lessons and evaluations, but after passing the exam will charge
a small fee before the CPR certificate can be downloaded, while
others charge the fee before the user starts the program.
The American Red Cross gives a number of CPR courses and CPR
certification as well as first aid training without fees, but
you would first have to confirm the availability of these
courses at the training centers in your area.
Either method would be an interesting way to learn more
about lifesaving procedures. If you would like to know how to
be able to help someone in an emergency, simply search online
or visit the nearest Red Cross center.
